Effects of different vaccination schedules prior to dry-off on systemic inflammation, immunity, and subsequent performance of dairy cows

Share:
Gao et al. concluded, "Our study demonstrated that advancing vaccination to 11 d before dry-off minimized systemic inflammation in the early dry period and reduced milk yield in late lactation regardless of parity and improved subsequent lactation performance only in MULT cows but not in PRIM cows. Therefore, advancing vaccination schedule before dry-off may be a practical approach to enhance subsequent productivity in multiparous Holstein cows."
