MMWR human plague from an infected cat in Oregon

The CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report reported "Notes from the Field: Early-Season Human Plague Transmitted from an Infected Cat — Oregon, January 2024." An Oregon man had signs and symptoms of plague, Yersinia pestis, in January 2024. The investigation revealed his cat was being treated for a neck abscess and vomiting.
